Big spreadsheets can easily become unwieldy, especially if the data you’re looking at is miles away from your header rows. The good news is it’s easy to freeze rows and freeze columns so they follow you around the spreadsheet – here’s how. See also: How to use Excel
How to freeze a row or column in Excel
• Open your spreadsheet in Excel
• Select the row(s) or column(s) you want to freeze. Make sure you select the entire line of cells by clicking in the rolumn or row name at the side of the spreadsheet
• Open the View tab
• Click the triangle next to Freeze Panes and choose Freeze Panes from the options
• If the row or column you want to freeze is the first in the spreadsheet you can alternatively choose Freeze Top Row or Freeze First Column
How to unfreeze a row or column in Excel

• Open the View tab
